My name is Alice Liang and I am a second year electrical engineering and business management student at McMaster University. Outside of a design studio and lecture hall, I love to exercise my creative side. You can catch me hanging out with family, friends, playing guitar, piano, cooking, baking, and creating art when inspiration sparks!

Sustainable Leader

Inspired as a delegate at the Conference for Sustainability in Engineering (CSE) at the University of Guelph during my first year, I was driven to foster actionable change in my community. As an incoming Director of Sustainability on the MES, my goal is to facilitate actionable steps towards creating a greener environment and to subtract rather than add. I want to inspire a community to that, rather than creating new things to replace the old, we use the old things to create something new!

As a First Robotics Canada and Shad McGill 2023 Alumni, I am heavily connected with the STEAM community that advocates for accessible and inclusive technology and innovation. I am currently an executive of Attendee Relations and previous member of Logistics for DeltaHacks, the largest student-run hackathon for change.

Student Governance

I am a proactive advocate for social change in the McMaster Students’ Union (MSU). I held the position of Vice Chair of Events on the First Year Council (FYC) in 2024-2025 and I am presently an executive on the McMaster Engineering Society, representing 7,600+ undergraduate engineering students.
